#19 - What Happens When an Art Agency CEO Meets NRK in a Gallery in San Francisco?

A little over two years ago, I discovered ZK Gallery for the very first time. What started as a job offer to take responsibility for Nordic art imports quickly evolved into something much more—an idea that grew into a company of its own. That company became Nordic Visions Art.

In the early stages of this journey, I made several research trips back and forth to San Francisco to better understand the market, connect with galleries, and shape a solid business strategy and structure. On one of those first trips, I had the privilege of meeting the team from NRK News—Norway’s leading national broadcaster. It was a spontaneous moment, yet one of those moments that stays with you.

As I introduced Nordic Visions Art and our mission to build bridges between Nordic and international art scenes, they listened with curiosity and warmth. We talked about art’s ability to connect people across borders, cultures, and languages - and how my vision was to represent Nordic artists in the US, and international artists back in Scandinavia.

They were genuinely excited and said: “Let us know when your first major exhibition in the US is ready. We’d love to tell that story.”

Fast forward to today: We’re now preparing our first collaborative exhibition with ZK Gallery. And yes -NRK, we’re calling you in. This is the story of individuals, stories through art, and a story of collaboration between countries and cultures.

But more than that - this moment is a reminder of what happens when you stay true to your vision, even when the road feels uncertain. Nordic Visions Art was born out of a deep belief in the power of creativity and cultural exchange. We’ve been building strong partnerships with renowned galleries in San Francisco and New York, and are proud to represent both Nordic and international talents on both sides of the Atlantic.

What’s next? While our early work has been focused on global outreach, we’re now equally excited to bring this energy home—especially to Northern Norway. Through pop-up exhibitions, artist talks, and collaborations with local musicians and creatives, we aim to create truly vibrant, immersive art experiences. Art should not only be seen—it should be felt.
